LS, Rare Disease Child Donation Instead of 20th Anniversary Event... Idea by Koo Ja-eun
20th Anniversary Celebration on the 10th
Sharing Commitment to Achieve 'Vision 2030'
Donation of Treatment Costs for 20 Children with Rare Diseases
LS announced on the 10th that Chairman Koo Ja-eun delivered an encouragement message to employees on the group's 20th anniversary through the group's YouTube channel 'LS TV' on the 11th. Instead of holding a 20th anniversary event, Chairman Koo decided to donate treatment expenses to 20 children with rare diseases.
Considering the recent severe business environment, including high oil prices, high inflation, and global trade conflicts, Chairman Koo decided not to hold a separate event. Instead, he expressed gratitude to the employees who have worked hard for the company's development over the past 20 years and shared the determination to achieve the vision.
In his encouragement message, Chairman Koo said, "LS has overcome many trials over the past 20 years and has built sufficient capabilities, so if we focus more on future opportunities, we will overcome any difficult crisis." He added, "The LS Vision 2030 announced earlier this year will serve as a milestone guiding us toward a sustainable future." The Vision 2030, announced by LS in January, plans to grow into a core partner company leading CFE (carbon-free electricity) and future industries. By strengthening growth engines through the 'Bae-Jeon-Ban' (Battery, Electric Vehicle, Semiconductor) business, the goal is to increase assets from 26 trillion won at the end of last year to 50 trillion won by 2030.

Chairman Koo encouraged employees, saying, "If all employees gather their strength with a resolute attitude to achieve the vision, our status will be very different from now in the near future." He added, "Let us all pop champagne together on the day we overcome the storm and reach our goal. We deserve it."
Instead of holding an event, LS Group, following Chairman Koo's idea, decided to donate to those in need. To commemorate LS Group's 20th anniversary, which has grown together with society, they plan to select 20 children with rare diseases in our local community and support their treatment expenses. Chairman Koo said, "LS has grown thanks to the support and encouragement of many people," and added, "Although they are always with us, we want to replace the event by delivering treatment expenses to neighbors in difficult circumstances, especially children suffering from rare diseases."
