Gyeonggi-do Selected as an Excellent Local Government for 'Child Policy Evaluation' Two Years in a Row
Gyeonggi Province was selected as an excellent local government for the second consecutive year in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's evaluation of the ‘2022 Child Policy Implementation Performance’.
Gyeonggi Province operates regional child center support groups, foster care support centers, and independent living support agencies to establish a system for realizing children's rights.
In addition, various projects are being promoted, including ▲‘Independent Settlement Fund Support’ for stable social settlement of youth preparing for independence (children aging out of protection) ▲‘Children’s Healthy Fruit Supply,’ which provides seasonal fruits to children using care facilities and receiving home care within the province ▲‘Meal Support for Children at Risk of Food Insecurity,’ which supports meals for children at risk of missing meals.
Yoon Young-mi, Director of the Women and Family Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We have been recognized for our continuous efforts and achievements in Gyeonggi Province’s meticulous and diverse child policies," adding, "We will continue to focus on brightening the future of all children in the province."

Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Welfare evaluated the 2022 child policy implementation plan based on 14 indicators across three areas: appropriateness of plan establishment (10 points), fidelity of implementation (20 points), and achievement of outcomes (70 points), in accordance with the 2nd Basic Plan for Child Policy (2020?2024).
