The city explained that this agreement was made to prevent medical neglect of children in blind spots who are unable to receive medical support due to reasons such as visa expiration or ineligibility for health insurance among foreign residents staying in Anseong.
Under the agreement, when Anseong City Hall and the Office of Education identify children in need of treatment and connect them to Anseong Hospital, the hospital will support hospitalization and outpatient fees up to 2 million KRW per child. The city also plans to provide interpretation support services to resolve language communication issues.
Im Seung-gwan, director of Anseong Hospital, expressed hope that "this agreement will enable us to provide medical services to more eligible individuals."
