On the 8th, Daniel Bimini, Deputy Mayor of Pesaro, who visited Korea to promote the 'Pesaro International Film Festival' and the 'Rossini Opera Festival,' announced plans to invite Imaestri to perform a special show at next year’s festival closing ceremony.
Pesaro, located in eastern Italy and a UNESCO City of Music, is the hometown of Rossini and a center for music education. Inviting a Korean performing group to the film festival’s closing performance in a region known for its exclusivity toward foreign ensembles is considered a groundbreaking case.
Previously, Imaestri was the first Korean performing group to be invited to the 'Rossini Opera Festival (ROF)' in 2019 and performed at the Pedrotti Auditorium of the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, Italy. At that time, they also held a flash mob in the outdoor square in front of the city hall, presenting a fresh performance that introduced Korea to Italians.
Deputy Mayor Bimini is a figure with a strong interest in Korea. During the Rossini Opera Festival, he established Korea Week and Korea Day, which became a hot topic locally. Pesaro was selected as the 'City of Italian Culture' to promote Italian culture in 2024, and to actively promote Korea Week held during the 60th anniversary of the Pesaro International Film Festival, he personally visited Korea.

Next year, Pesaro plans to hold the Pesaro International Film Festival from June 14 to 24 and prepare for the Rossini Opera Festival from August 7 to 23, among other large and small events.
Deputy Mayor Bimini said, “To celebrate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Italy next year, I want to introduce Korea’s global cultural content to Pesaro,” adding, “I expect this to be an opportunity to showcase Korea’s high-quality culture to cultural figures from around the world who will flock to Pesaro.”
Yang Jaemu, music director of Imaestri, said, "We plan to showcase the world-class level of Korean vocal music, especially not only individual performances but also ensemble performances, and introduce our culture, K-Culture, including folk songs, art songs, and film music, to the world’s cultural audience." "We will demonstrate the excellent vocal performance skills of Korean vocalists to the global audience visiting Pesaro and seek to expand the overseas music market for our vocalists, while developing the gem-like music from films into artistic music to provide new emotional experiences to the audience," he said.
