On the 8th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will operate the nation's first integrated response system by the first half of next year, which comprehensively handles everything from rapid victim reporting to systematic agency coordination and support, as well as prevention of similar crimes, for victims of gender violence.
Gyeonggi Province will launch an Integrated Response Center (tentative name) that oversees gender violence, which will be operated by entrusting the Gyeonggi-do Women and Family Foundation in the first half of next year.
The center will serve as a control tower to manage and ensure that counseling and support currently provided individually by gender violence support organizations within the province?such as domestic violence counseling centers, domestic violence victim protection facilities, sexual violence counseling centers, sexual violence victim protection facilities, prostitution victim counseling centers, prostitution victim support facilities, the 1366 Center, the Sunflower Center, and the Digital Sexual Crime Victim One-Stop Support Center?are conducted organically and promptly.
