Choi Ho-gwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Visits Ssokbangchon Site with Won Hee-ryong, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport
On the afternoon of the 7th, Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, visited the Yeongdeungpo jjokbangchon public housing site with Won Hee-ryong, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, to inspect the relocation and resettlement measures for jjokbangchon residents.
The 'Yeongdeungpo Jjokbangchon Public Housing Site' is a project to create approximately 10,000㎡ of public housing in the Yeongdeungpo Gyeongin-ro area. It aims to fundamentally reorganize the densely packed jjokbang area to improve the living conditions of vulnerable groups and provide quality public housing for young people and newlyweds.
Mayor Choi, together with Minister Won, visited jjokbang residents to check on their well-being and listened to various opinions related to improving residential environments. Afterwards, at a residents' meeting held at the Yeongdeungpo Jjokbang Counseling Center, they received a briefing on the project's progress and expected effects, and toured the project site.
