A Man in His 40s Caught for Repeatedly Burglarizing Bathhouses in Jinju... Stole Mobile Phones, Wallets, and More
A man in his 40s who habitually stole valuables while visiting public baths in Jinju, Gyeongnam, was arrested by the police.
According to the Jinju Police Station on the 4th, Mr. A is suspected of stealing valuables worth approximately 45 million won in seven incidents at six saunas around Jinju City from September 27 to November 4.
Mr. A entered as a customer and forcibly opened lockers in the changing rooms using a flathead screwdriver he had prepared in advance, taking seven mobile phones, credit cards, wallets containing cash, and other items.
After receiving reports, the police formed a dedicated investigation team, analyzed the case, identified Mr. A, and arrested him on the 6th.
It is known that the arrested Mr. A has a prior record of similar crimes and has confessed to all the offenses.
The police found that Mr. A reissued the card passwords from the stolen wallets and withdrew cash.
The stolen money is reported to have been used for illegal gambling funds.
