Walk the Uljin Dongseo Trail and receive the 'Forest We-ro'!
Korea Hiking and Trekking Support Center Hosts Trekking Event on Dongseo Trail Section 55
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, will hold the ‘Forest We-ro’ event on the 10th along Section 55 of the East-West Trail.
‘Forest We-ro’ is an event conducted for local residents affected by last year’s Uljin wildfire, organized by the Korea Mountaineering and Trekking Support Center and carried out by the Chungbuk National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation. Through this event, the county expects to contribute to the psychological and physical recovery of Uljin residents and to increase interest in Section 55 of the East-West Trail.
The event will take place along Section 55, a 20 km forest path stretching from Sanpori Mangyangjeong to Jungseomgyo in Hawon-ri. This section is both the starting and ending point of the East-West Trail, making it the most symbolic part of the trail.
Section 55 was created with donations from Woori Financial Group and is named Woori Financial Road. ‘Forest We-ro’ will feature various programs including trekking activities, forest bathing, aromatherapy, and tea talks.
