T'way Air Launches New Route Between Cheongju and Fukuoka
This Year, Cheongju International Flights Launch 6 Routes to 4 Countries
T'way Air announced on the 6th that it has started operating the Cheongju-Fukuoka route. Starting with flight TW247 on the 26th of this month, it will operate five times a week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sun). The schedule departs at 4 PM and arrives at Fukuoka Airport around 5 PM.
Fukuoka, located in Kyushu, Japan, is a representative tourist city with a short flight time and close proximity from the airport to the city center, making it possible to explore sufficiently even on a short trip.
From January to October this year, 223,660 travelers departed from Cheongju Airport for overseas trips via T'way Air. This accounts for about 80% of the total international passengers at Cheongju Airport (approximately 278,900).
Earlier this year, the company launched the Cheongju-Danang route, followed by the Bangkok (Don Mueang) route in April. In June, new routes to Osaka and Nha Trang were introduced, and in July, the Cheongju-Yanji route was added, expanding to China routes. Including the new Cheongju-Fukuoka route, T'way Air now operates a total of six international routes across four countries departing from Cheongju International Airport.
