Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will hold the opening ceremony of the 6th branch of the ‘Woori Dongnae Care Center,’ which will be responsible for the happy after-school time of elementary school students, at 3 p.m. on the 7th.
The Woori Dongnae Care Center is a care institution that any elementary school student from dual-income families can use regardless of income. The 6th branch of the Woori Dongnae Care Center in Jungnang-gu began operating in July before the opening ceremony, running after-school rest, self-directed learning, and creative programs, receiving great responses from both the children using the center and their parents.
Located in Muk 1-dong, the center has an area of 115.8㎡ and consists of activity spaces, a reading area, restrooms and kitchen, and an office. One center director and one care teacher reside on-site to look after the children.
The center’s operating hours are from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the school term and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. during vacations. Any elementary school student in need of care can use the center after prior application.
Prior applications can be made online through the Woori Dongnae Care Portal. For detailed information regarding center use, inquiries can be made by phone to the 6th branch.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “One more reliable care space where dual-income parents in Jungnang-gu can trust and leave their children has been added,” and added, “We will continue to make Jungnang a good place to have and raise children by focusing not only on quantitative expansion but also on qualitative improvement of care facilities.”
