Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo Requests Samsung Global Research President Kim Wan-pyo to "Participate in New Airport Project"

On the morning of the 3rd, Hong Jun-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, met with Kim Wan-pyo, President of Samsung Global Research, at the Sanggyeok Office of Daegu City Hall to discuss various matters including the formation of an SPC related to the TK New Airport and the development of the rear site, and urged Samsung's positive participation in the project.
Mayor Hong stated that the TK New Airport and rear site project is an important initiative that will serve as the central axis for forming a new economic zone in the central and southern regions of South Korea, and requested Samsung to actively participate in the New Airport SPC. In response to this request, President Kim Wan-pyo expressed deep interest in the New Airport project and said that Samsung Group will thoroughly review it going forward.
