The ‘2023 Youth Builder Audition,’ a youth startup encouragement project leading web innovation in Korea, was hosted by the non-profit organization SDG Youth, co-organized by SDG Youth and Assembly Insider, and supported by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul Metropolitan Government and City Council, and Dongdaemun District Office.

This project was conducted from September 4 to 2 targeting university startup teams, startup clubs, and startups at the seed investment stage. A total of 46 teams nationwide submitted business plans by the application deadline on the 4th of last month. Expert mentors including Lee Sung-san, co-CEO of Near Korea; Kim Min-chul, CEO of Yanadoo; Oh Jong-wook, CEO of Waveridge; Go Woo-kyun, CEO of MediBlock; Hwang Yoon-sik, CEO of Pudding Corporation; and Kim Jung-seop, vice president of LucentBlock selected six project teams.

At the ‘Youth Builder Audition’ Demo Day, after on-site judging of the final presentations, MindLeaders, SkyLog, Ribbit, and TeamFounders were selected as the final winning teams.

MindLeaders proposed Danhobak Counseling Center, an online psychological counseling community platform with experts, and won the Youth Builder Award. SkyLog presented SkyLog, a one-touch tuition payment service for foreign international students, and received the Near Protocol Award. Ribbit received the Chairman’s Commendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Council for Connect Pod, an unmanned refrigerator sales booth operation service that fills the gap between sales closing and opening. TeamFounders received the Dongdaemun District Mayor’s Commendation for Sprint, a digital coaching platform for individual growth and organizational performance improvement.

Chairman Kim Ju-yong encouraged the participating teams in his opening remarks, saying, “All young people come up with ideas for others rather than themselves. When they think about a larger social group like this, something new comes out, and people call that ‘innovation.’”
