HCT Achieves Record Q3 Revenue... "Expansion of Smartphone Testing and Certification Orders"
HCT, a leading company in the testing certification and calibration industry, announced on the 2nd that it has achieved its highest quarterly sales ever, driven by an expansion in smartphone testing certification orders and an increase in calibration sales.
HCT disclosed its preliminary consolidated earnings, reporting sales of 19.6 billion KRW and operating profit of 2.7 billion KRW for the third quarter of this year. Compared to the same period last year, sales and operating profit increased by 12% and 41%, respectively. This continued the record for the highest quarterly sales. The cumulative results for the first three quarters are sales of 54.3 billion KRW and operating profit of 6.0 billion KRW.
HCT stated, "Leveraging our technical strengths in the 5G wireless communication sector, we are expanding new orders for smartphone testing certification, and calibration sales continue to grow through the cold chain sector and development of new clients. We have confirmed sustained growth alongside the recovery of upstream industries in our core business areas."
Additionally, HCT is currently investing in the establishment of a high-voltage chamber for EVs and in the defense and nuclear power sectors. The expected completion is by the end of this year, and from next year, additional sales growth is anticipated due to expanded CPAEX (capital expenditures).

Heo Bong-jae, CEO of HCT, emphasized, "As one of the results of expanding investments in the defense sector over the past several years, we were able to secure a contract worth 8.2 billion KRW for the manufacturing of an automated calibration system. We will focus on linking our core businesses in wireless communication testing certification and calibration with various fields such as defense and batteries to expand sales and profitability."
