Pyeongtaek City Successfully Completes 'Preliminary Education for Returning Farmers and Settlers'
Completion of 10 Sessions of Training for 32 Participants
Plan to Expand Training Content Next Year
On the 2nd, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it successfully completed the 'Customized 2nd Training for Prospective Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Residents,' which began on August 23.
This training was conducted over a total of 10 sessions for 32 urban residents hoping to return to farming and rural living.
The city invited professional instructors to provide basic education on farming settlement, including return-to-farming policies, soil management, agricultural machinery, and crop-specific cultivation techniques, as well as on-site training by visiting returnee farms to ensure stable rural settlement.
The Pyeongtaek Agricultural Technology Center, which is in charge of the training, plans to expand the program next year by dividing the 28-week training into two sessions, 1st and 2nd, held once a week.
