Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Conducts Flight Demonstration of Korean Urban Air Mobility in Goheung, Jeonnam
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 2nd that it will hold a flight demonstration event in connection with the "Korean Urban Air Mobility Demonstration Project (K-UAM Grand Challenge)."
This event is significant as it is the first time the public will be able to see the organic and safe operation of UAM components such as aircraft, vertiports, and traffic management systems.
During this flight demonstration, attendees can directly witness the aircraft developed with domestic technology flying, as well as infrastructure such as the vertiport and passenger terminal, which were created for the first time in Korea for the K-UAM Grand Challenge.
Meanwhile, an exhibition presenting the development goals and visions of participating companies and institutions in the demonstration project, including models of aircraft and vertiports, as well as communication and traffic management programs, was held concurrently and will be open until the 5th.

Baek Won-guk, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "With the participation of leading domestic and international companies, the historic flight of the K-UAM Grand Challenge, which the world is paying attention to, has begun," adding, "We will complete the Grand Challenge without any setbacks and open urban air routes to the public by the end of 2025."
