Gwangju Dong-gu Hosts the 1st Dong-gu Mayor's Cup Taekwondo Tournament
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 1st that it held the '1st Dong-gu Mayor's Cup Taekwondo Competition' at the Chosun University Gymnasium.
Hosted by the Dong-gu Sports Council and organized by the Dong-gu Taekwondo Association, the competition saw enthusiastic contests with the participation of about 1,500 people including athletes, parents, and event officials.
The competition began with the opening declaration, followed by a congratulatory speech from Mayor Im Taek of Dong-gu and an oath by the athlete representative, raising the excitement of the event. Various Taekwondo matches such as official Poomsae and speed kicking captivated the audience.
