Natural Recreation Forest Opens on Mubongsan Mountain in Hwaseong
320,000㎡ Scale... Equipped with Accommodation Facilities and Camping Grounds
A large-scale natural recreation forest has opened on Mubongsan Mountain in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Hwaseong City announced on the 1st that it has completed the construction of a 319,692㎡ natural recreation forest at Jung-dong area at the foot of Mubongsan Mountain and held an opening ceremony on the 31st of last month.
The Mubongsan Natural Recreation Forest boasts excellent forest scenery composed of pine trees, Mongolian oaks, and sawtooth oaks. Within the recreation forest, there are 10 forest houses for accommodation, 13 deck camping sites, 13 picnic huts, and a barbecue zone.
In addition, a "Forest Resource Experience Center" has been established to exhibit the forest succession process, showing how plant communities change according to forest changes.
Use of the Mubongsan Natural Recreation Forest facilities can be reserved through the "Sumnadle e-System." Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 a.m. on the 1st of every month.
