Kim Hyung-dae, Chairman of Gangnam District Council, Joins Drug Eradication 'NO EXIT' Relay Campaign
The Gangnam District Council announced that Chairman Kim Hyung-dae (photo) participated on the 31st in the drug eradication 'NO EXIT' relay campaign to raise awareness about drug crimes and create a safer society.
The drug eradication 'NO EXIT' relay campaign is a nationwide drug eradication movement jointly launched last April by the National Police Agency and the Korea Anti-Drug Movement Headquarters, among other related organizations. Chairman Kim joined the campaign after being nominated by Cho Sung-myung, Mayor of Gangnam District.
The campaign continues in a relay format by holding a signboard with the phrase "A maze with no exit, NO EXIT drugs, never start" and taking photos, then nominating the next participant to post on social networking services (SNS). Chairman Kim nominated Park Kyung-rae, Chairman of the Songpa District Council, and Bok Jin-kyung, a member of the Gangnam District Council, as the next participants.
Chairman Kim said, "As the dangers of drugs have recently spread even to teenagers, awareness of drug eradication is growing stronger. The 23 members of the Gangnam District Council will work together to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal drugs and create a safe Gangnam."
Meanwhile, the Gangnam District Council proposed an ordinance to strengthen publicity and education for the prevention of illegal drugs and drug misuse, and actively participated in campaigns to raise residents' awareness of illegal drugs.
Additionally, through five-minute free speeches, they emphasized the dangers of drug misuse and requested the establishment of an Integrated Addiction Management Support Center in the district, proposing drug eradication measures tailored to Gangnam's circumstances.
