Korean Air to Purchase 20 New Aircraft... Worth 4.1 Trillion KRW
Korean Air announced on the 30th that it has decided to purchase 20 new aircraft.
The investment amount for the aircraft purchase is approximately 4.0948 trillion KRW, which corresponds to 44.07% of the company’s equity capital. The company stated, "The investment amount based on price is approximately 3.028 billion USD," adding, "There may be fluctuations due to exchange rate changes and other unavoidable reasons."
Korean Air explained the purpose of the aircraft purchase as "to replace existing small aircraft with next-generation aircraft according to the long-term fleet plan, while also preparing for increased route demand."
