Dong-A University Unification Education Center Participates in the '2023 Tongilbada Marathon'
The Dong-A University Unification Education Center participated in the ‘2023 Unification Sea Marathon’ to promote the values of unification and peace.
On the 29th, the event was held in conjunction with the ‘22nd 2023 Busan Sea Marathon’ at locations including Haeundae BEXCO, Gwangandaegyo Bridge, and Gwangalli Beach. A total of about 100 participants, including President Lee Hae-woo, Jeong Seong-moon, head of Dong-A University’s Unification Education Leading University Project Group, faculty, and students, took part.
On that day, President Lee Hae-woo participated in the 5 km course and recorded a time of 18 minutes and 45 seconds. Additionally, Dong-A University student Lee Jong-heon completed the 5 km course in 18 minutes and 30 seconds, and student Kang Ji-woong finished the 10 km course in 40 minutes and 47 seconds.

This year, Dong-A University was selected for the Ministry of Unification’s ‘Unification Education Leading University Project’ and will lead unification education in the Yeongnam region for the next four years. The center plans to hold the Unification Sea Marathon annually to promote unification education.

In addition, the university plans to develop integrated curricula related to unification, open new courses on unification, conduct research in the unification field, hold academic conferences and colloquiums, operate study groups and clubs, organize unification debate competitions, and carry out historical experience activities.
