Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Corporation Releases Commemorative Coins for 'Four Seasons of Korea's Famous Mountains'
The Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation (KOMSCO) is releasing commemorative coins themed "The Four Seasons of Korea's Famous Mountains." The commemorative coins will be available for pre-order sales until the 20th of next month.
According to KOMSCO on the 30th, the "Four Seasons of Korea's Famous Mountains" commemorative coins are designed within a square frame as if looking through a window at the four seasons of popular mountains such as Hallasan, Jirisan, Seoraksan, and Taebaeksan.
The commemorative coins are made of silver, with a total of four types, each having the same specifications: 99.9% purity, 35mm diameter, and 19g weight, and are produced as colored coins.
The front of Silver Coin I depicts "Spring of Hallasan," featuring the bright Seonjagjiwat and azaleas, while Silver Coin II represents "Summer of Jirisan," expressing the cool valley of Baemsagol.
Silver Coin III shows "Autumn of Seoraksan" with the maple-filled Dinosaur Ridge, and Silver Coin IV "Winter of Taebaeksan" captures the beautiful winter yew tree colonies covered in snow, according to KOMSCO.
The reverse side of the coins displays the contour lines and heights of each mountain.
