Venture Company SW Talent Matching Expanded to India
Global Recruitment Fair to Address SW Workforce Shortage
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) announced on the 30th that it will hold the '2023 Venture Startup Talent Matching Festival' at COEX to address the software (SW) workforce shortage in venture companies.
This event supports matching between domestic talent, including Korean university students and academy graduates, and software talents from countries such as India and Vietnam with venture companies. To facilitate systematic recruitment connections between domestic venture companies and overseas software personnel, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be signed between six venture associations under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The IIT Mumbai campus, which is signing the MOU this time, is a prestigious university ranked number one among Indian universities.
Deputy Minister Oh Ki-woong stated, "India has a median age of 28.4 years and a GDP of approximately 3.7 trillion dollars, and is expected to become the world's third-largest economy within 10 years," adding, "Starting with attracting SW talent, we will explore various cooperation measures for Korean venture companies to enter the Indian market and accelerate the completion of a global venture powerhouse."
