A man in his 70s who went out to fish by boat in Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam, has gone missing, and the Coast Guard is conducting a search.
According to the Tongyeong Coast Guard Station, at around 0:46 a.m. on the 28th, a report was received stating, "We cannot contact my father who went out to fish."
The Coast Guard, which rushed to the scene, conducted a search and found a 1-ton trap fishing boat captained by Mr. A near Gaksuseo, Hansan-myeon, but Mr. A was not on the boat.
The Coast Guard has found the vessel that the missing fisherman had boarded and is inspecting the surrounding area.

The Coast Guard is deploying one Coast Guard aircraft, six patrol vessels, two Navy ships, six civilian rescue boats, and Coast Guard rescue teams to conduct simultaneous underwater and surface searches to find Mr. A.
It is understood that Mr. A departed at around 7 a.m. on the 27th, and the reporter requested rescue because his father, who went fishing, had not returned to the port past his usual time and could not be contacted.
