Israel: "229 Hostages Held in Gaza Strip, Not the Final Number"

View original imageIsrael announced that the number of hostages abducted by the Palestinian militant group Hamas on the 7th has reached at least 233.
According to the Times of Israel (TOI) on the 27th (local time), IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated, "We have informed the families of 229 hostages that they are currently being held in the Gaza Strip."
This number does not include the four hostages who were released in two instances on the 20th and 23rd. Including them, the total comes to 233.

Hagari added, "This figure is not final," and "The military is continuing to investigate new information."
