German Direct Import Bedding 'Centastar' Opens at Shinsegae Department Store Gyeonggi Branch
TreA Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jun-young), the official importer and distributor of the German bedding brand ‘Centasta,’ known for sleep engineering, announced that Centasta’s comforter products officially launched at Shinsegae Department Store Gyeonggi Branch on the 27th.
Centasta gained public attention through popular TV home shopping broadcasts such as the Choi Yura Show. It has been distributed nationwide at Costco locations and has secured loyal customers as a premium bedding brand.
Centasta’s comforters, made 100% Made in Germany, are developed in partnership with the Hohenstein Institute in Germany. The Hohenstein Institute is globally recognized as the top authority in textile research and issues various quality certifications related to textiles.
Centasta’s comforters undergo quality testing by the Hohenstein Institute and have passed the institute’s standards in key quality verification areas such as skin friendliness, medical testing, breathability, dimensional stability, and ease of care.
Centasta’s comforter products have completed cytotoxicity tests based on the international biocompatibility standard DIN EN ISO 10993 and have obtained the highest grade ‘Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1’ certification from Oeko-Tex, ensuring safety for skin contact with infants under 36 months.
The comforters feature ergonomic length stitching that perfectly adheres to the body without interfering with natural movements during sleep, and premium piping finishing that enhances durability.
Centasta’s main products include ‘Royal,’ a lightweight comforter with a silky touch suitable for those who sweat a lot; ‘Allergo Protect,’ which helps with respiratory allergy care; ‘Cloud,’ offering a voluminous, cloud-like coziness; ‘Famous,’ which dries quickly; ‘Dynamic,’ the thinnest yet maintaining optimal temperature; ‘Revolution,’ providing both volume and cozy warmth; and ‘Sensation,’ delivering a sensational top-grade silk feel.
The fillings also use a variety of advanced technology materials. These include Outlast, a temperature-regulating high-tech fiber developed by NASA; Allergo Fill, which protects against allergens; PrimaLoft, with millions of microfibers providing insulation and breathability; Super Loft Plus, a Centasta-exclusive high-tech fiber developed by the Hohenstein Institute and German textile specialist Trevia; and Dry Fill, a trilobal structure material that disperses and dries moisture entering the comforter, applied according to the intended use.
TreA Co., Ltd. also introduced the functional pillow brand ‘TechnoGel’ at Shinsegae Department Store. TechnoGel pillows are made from a fluid solid material with three-dimensional (3D) volumetric deformability and shape memory of solids. Developed by German chemical company Covestro AG and exclusively produced by Italian TechnoGel Sleeping, these pillows are known as luxury functional pillows from Italy.
