This contract was promoted as part of the 'Thailand Digital Healthcare Ecosystem Construction Project' led by Naver Cloud. The company explained that the contract was signed after DoctorCall Thai was recognized for its convenience and safety at the 'DHTC Bangkok 2023 (Digital Healthcare Transformation Conference 2023)' held in August for major medical institutions in Thailand.
DoctorCall Thai is an improved version of the existing non-face-to-face medical platform DoctorCall, tailored to the convenience of local medical staff and patients at Praram 9 Hospital. It is characterized by integration with the mobile messenger 'LINE,' which holds a 90% local market share in Thailand, allowing users to make reservations, receive remote medical consultations, make payments, and access customer service without downloading a separate application, as well as providing one-stop service including medicine delivery.
During the PoC contract period, LifeSemantics will provide ▲ service planning, design, and supply ▲ development of customized remote medical services linked with the LINE mobile messenger to ensure smooth use of DoctorCall Thai by local medical staff and patients. Naver Cloud will support the Naver Cloud Platform (NCP) to securely store patients' medical records and health information.
Praram 9 Hospital will use DoctorCall Thai in a virtual center composed of 13 medical staff members through this contract. At the same time, dedicated medical personnel for DoctorCall Thai will be assigned to utilize the non-face-to-face medical consultation service. All patients who have previously received consultations through Praram 9 Hospital’s self-developed non-face-to-face medical service will be transferred to the DoctorCall Thai service, with plans to improve consultation convenience and customer satisfaction based on user feedback.
In addition to Praram 9 Hospital, LifeSemantics is discussing business cooperation plans with Thai national and public hospitals, as well as general hospitals including dermatology and plastic surgery departments. As demand for non-face-to-face medical services is expanding among local medical institutions, the company plans to expand DoctorCall Thai’s business in Thailand.
Sihoon Ahn, head of LifeSemantics’ SX (Solution Experience) business division, said, "Based on high technology and security levels, DoctorCall, which has been operating domestic non-face-to-face medical services stably, has been recognized for its business viability, leading to the signing of this contract for full-scale business promotion. Like Korea, Thailand is also experiencing rapid movements toward digital transformation of healthcare due to demographic changes caused by aging populations. Starting with services in Thailand, we plan to expand our business areas to neighboring countries such as Indonesia."
