Dr. Seokgyu Kim of Pukyong National University Awarded Best Doctoral Dissertation by the Korean International Management Association
Dr. Seokgyu Kim of the Graduate School of Business Consulting Cooperative Program at Pukyong National University received the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award at the 2023 Fall Academic Conference of the Korean International Business Management Association.
Dr. Seokgyu Kim, head of the BNK Financial Group Sports Team, attended the conference held on the 21st at the Ara Convention Hall of Jeju National University.
At the conference, Dr. Kim was recognized for his doctoral dissertation titled "A Study on the Strategies and Customer Satisfaction of Domestic Financial Institutions Entering Vietnam (Focusing on Mobile Banking)" and received the award.
Dr. Seokgyu Kim, who graduated this year from the doctoral program of the Business Consulting Cooperative Program at Pukyong National University, qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed the cases of Shinhan Bank and Woori Bank, which are regarded as successful overseas expansions in the Vietnam region.
In this dissertation, Dr. Kim was evaluated to have provided important insights in interpreting the research results by empirically utilizing his over 35 years of practical experience in the financial sector at BNK Financial Group and its subsidiaries including Busan Bank, Kyongnam Bank, BNK System, and BNK Human Resources Development Institute.
Advisor Professor Chunsu Lee stated, “This dissertation is expected to provide very useful directions for domestic financial companies planning to enter or expand into the Vietnam region.”
