Simultaneous Graduation with Two Degrees and Employment... Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Establishes Dual Degree Program with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam
A project to recruit international students that graduates local Vietnamese university students from Gyeongnam Information University and leads them to employment has been launched.
The program allows students to study for one year locally and then come to Korea to graduate with a degree, recognizing degrees from both universities. Vietnamese students who receive degrees are also supported in finding employment at domestic companies.
Gyeongnam Information University announced on the 26th that it has started an international student recruitment project awarding dual degrees in collaboration with a local Vietnamese university.
On the same day, Kim Dae-sik, president of Gyeongnam Information University, visited Hanoi University of Science and Technology (President Doan Thi Thu Huong) in Vietnam and signed an agreement to establish a dual degree program and build a broad cooperative relationship including faculty and student exchanges.

This dual degree program is part of Gyeongnam Information University's ‘Settlement-type International Student Training Program.’ It is designed to overcome issues such as labor shortages in local companies and population decline, and to increase international student satisfaction by recruiting students from local universities, providing education, and supporting their settlement through employment in Korea. This initiative has attracted attention from government agencies including the Ministry of Education and the education sector.
Following the agreement with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, President Kim Dae-sik is conducting various schedules to recruit international students, including signing a business agreement with Hanoi University of Electrical Technology and holding promotional briefings for local international students. In particular, he plans to return on the 28th with 18 students selected through interviews personally conducted by the president in Vietnam.
