On this day, Gyeonggi Province announced that it held the '2023 Gyeonggi Province Pyeongtaek Port Forum' at KINTEX, attended by more than 150 shipping, port, and logistics officials.
The forum was organized to discuss next year's global supply chain changes and to facilitate exchanges among shipping companies, forwarders, and cargo owners to overcome the crisis in the shipping, logistics, and port industries.
The forum was chaired by Professor Han Jong-gil of Sungkyul University, and presentations were made on three topics: ▲ Analysis of shipping and port market conditions and Pyeongtaek Port response measures ▲ Outlook on global supply chain changes in 2024 ▲ Plans for establishing hydrogen infrastructure at Pyeongtaek Port.
Following this, under the theme 'The Future of Gyeonggi Province Pyeongtaek Port,' Kim Geun-seop, Director of KMI, Dr. Kim Hyeong-tae, Lee Gi-yeol, Head of the Demand Forecasting Center, Professor Woo Jong-gyun of Dongmyung University, Professor Jeong Tae-won of Sungkyul University, and Lim Sam-seop, Executive Director of Janggeum Shipping, participated to exchange opinions on the future of Pyeongtaek Port.
