Gwangju National Science Museum Hosts 'Amazing Biomedical Engineering Stories'
The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold the first lecture of the 'Amazing Biomedical Engineering Stories' series on the 28th at the Sangsang Hall in the main building.
Professor Jeong Uiheon from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology will be invited to give a lecture titled "Neuroscience Stories Told by a Light Expert."
Interesting topics such as looking inside the brain with light, brain research using light, and disease treatment research utilizing light will be presented.
Professor Jeong earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics from MIT (Harvard-MIT HST). After working at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, he is currently serving as a professor.
