BNK Busan Bank Launches 'ESG Happiness Drawing Savings' with 5.5% Annual Interest Rate
BNK Busan Bank will launch the ‘ESG Happy Painting Savings Account’ on the 26th in collaboration with the developmental disability artist agency ‘Thisabled’ to promote artists with developmental disabilities and support their economic independence.
The ‘ESG Happy Painting Savings Account’ is an ESG financial product that combines artworks by artists with developmental disabilities and finance, offering an annual interest rate of 5.50% upon maturity without complicated conditions. It will be sold with a total limit of 5,000 accounts and will end once the limit is reached.
Additionally, customers who subscribe to the savings account and select one artist with developmental disabilities on the mobile banking event page will receive an Art NFT (Non-Fungible Token) issued with the selected artist’s work after the savings maturity.
The subscription period is 6 months, with monthly deposits ranging from 10,000 KRW to a maximum of 300,000 KRW. Eligible customers are those aged 19 and over, and subscriptions can be made through the Busan Bank mobile banking app.
Busan Bank plans to donate up to 10 million KRW in sponsorship funds to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation for children with developmental disabilities, based on the sales performance of the ‘ESG Happy Painting Savings Account.’
Until December 31, a lottery event will also be held for new subscribers, offering prizes such as ▲an artist’s painting (1 winner) and ▲a tumbler engraved with the artist’s painting (50 winners).
