Q3 Tmon Direct Purchase Grows 84% Year-on-Year
Tmon announced on the 26th that it has newly established a direct purchase section on the main page of its mobile app, strengthening services in preparation for global discount events such as Black Friday and Guanggunje.
Tmon has built a direct purchase main section on its mobile app. It provides menus to browse by country, including the United States, Japan, China, and India, as well as by category such as IT, food, and fashion. It also plans to introduce new ultra-low-priced direct purchase products daily.
Based on synergies with affiliates such as Qoo10 and Qxpress, Tmon has been launching direct purchase planning sections targeting customer demand since the second half of this year. The scale of direct purchases is steadily growing. As of the third quarter, Tmon's direct purchase transaction amount increased by 84% compared to the same period last year, with purchases expanding not only in core items such as home appliances and digital products (418%▲) but also in food (63%▲) and maternity and infant products (45%▲).
In particular, ahead of the fourth quarter, which includes Black Friday and Guanggunje, Tmon is actively securing products locally in North America and China based on synergies within the Qoo10 group. In the United States, it has completed recruiting direct purchase sellers specializing in premium brand clothing and accessories. It is also securing numerous products locally in China, expanding the foundation for faster direct purchase services.
