40s Man Arrested for Distributing 'Drug Ads' Around University Area
A man in his 40s who distributed card-shaped advertisements seemingly encouraging drug purchases at Hongik University, Konkuk University, and Gachon University has been arrested.
On the 25th, Judge Hong Ki-chan of the Seoul Eastern District Court, responsible for warrant hearings, conducted a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant review) for Mr. A and issued an arrest warrant, citing concerns over flight risk and evidence tampering.
The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station urgently apprehended Mr. A near his residence in Songpa-gu, Seoul, at 8:28 p.m. on the 23rd on charges of distributing advertisements encouraging drug purchases.
Mr. A distributed business card-type flyers advertising liquid cannabis sales at Konkuk University and Hongik University on the 20th, and at Gachon University on the 22nd.

During police questioning, Mr. A stated, "I intended to commit fraud after distributing drug advertisement business cards targeting students majoring in arts to earn living expenses."
