According to foreign media including The Guardian on the 23rd (local time), the Israeli government invited dozens of foreign journalists to a military base in the capital Tel Aviv for a private screening on that day.
This was to disclose some of the video materials collected by the Israeli government amid heated disputes over the atrocities committed during Hamas's terror attack on Israel on the 7th. The screened video was a 43-minute edited footage.
The videos were recorded through closed-circuit television (CCTV), small cameras worn by Hamas militants, vehicle black boxes, and mobile phones.
The footage showed Hamas militants entering a home and shooting a 7-year-old girl hiding under the dining table, repeatedly striking the head of a fallen male foreign worker with a farming tool, and killing a wounded female soldier.
Foreign media explained that "the purpose was to counter Hamas's denial of the atrocities."
They added, "The video also contained scenes of children being killed and beheadings of some victims," and "some journalists were moved to tears."
Police officers in Ashkelon, southern Israel, are evacuating a woman holding a child as rockets were launched on the 7th (local time) as part of a surprise attack by the Palestinian armed group Hamas.

In another video, a father was seen running into a bomb shelter holding two sons estimated to be about 7 and 9 years old. All three were in their underwear, having just woken up from sleep.
When the father died from a grenade thrown by a Hamas militant, the sons, covered in their father's blood, screamed in agony, "Dad is dead, why am I still alive?"
Another Hamas militant called his family using the mobile phone of a civilian he had killed. He spoke to his father in Gaza, saying, "I killed 10 Jews with my bare hands. I am now calling from the phone of a Jewish woman I just killed," and cheered, "Tell mom too. Aren't you proud?"
Another video showed what appeared to be a woman who had been raped and burned by Hamas.
Director Mikki Edelstein told reporters after the screening, "Israeli authorities have secured evidence of sexual assault."
Israel explained the reason for releasing the videos by comparing Hamas, which denies war crimes such as sexual assault, to "Holocaust denial" (the Nazi genocide of Jews).
