View original imageThe research team led by Professor Kwon Oh-pil from the Department of Applied Chemical and Biological Engineering at Ajou University and the research team from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Switzerland have succeeded in developing a broadband 'T-ray' material using a new organic crystal design technology. Known as the 'dream electromagnetic wave,' T-rays can penetrate the interior of objects invisible to the human eye, and unlike X-rays, which only penetrate solid materials, T-rays can also identify types of liquids. It is expected to be applied in fields such as medical care and quality inspection in semiconductor manufacturing processes. This research was published in the online edition of the international journal Advanced Science.
