'Ichon Rice Culture Festival' Concludes Successfully with 160,000 Visitors
Regional Agricultural Specialties Sales Exceed 1.2 Billion Won... 34% Increase Compared to Last Year
On the 23rd, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that the "22nd Icheon Rice Culture Festival," held at the Icheon Agricultural Theme Park for five days starting from the 18th, concluded successfully with 160,000 visitors.
The city explained that during the festival, over 160,500 people visited the festival site, a 21% increase compared to about 131,700 visitors last year. In particular, the sales of Icheon agricultural specialty products purchased by visitors during the event amounted to 1.21248 billion KRW, a 34% increase from the previous year, the city added.

During this period, new rice sales reached approximately 783 million KRW, agricultural specialty products sold about 166 million KRW, and food sales totaled around 250 million KRW, the city reported.

The festival organizing committee cited the operation of various experiential programs across 11 specialized yards as a key factor in the event's success. They explained that visitor satisfaction was particularly high for the festival’s representative attractions, such as the "2,000 People, 2,000 KRW Cauldron Rice Cooking" and "Rainbow Garaetteok Making."
