Yeongju City Council, 'On-site Visit to Major Project Sites'
The Yeongju City Council in Gyeongbuk Province visited three local project sites, including the ‘Base Disinfection Facility Construction Project’ site, during the 276th extraordinary session on October 20 to inspect major issues.
First, they visited the ‘Base Disinfection Facility Construction Project’ site in Galsan-ri, Jangsu-myeon, where they checked the project status and progress with related officials, gathered problems and suggestions from stakeholders, and discussed future improvements.
Afterwards, they moved to the ‘Living Experience Space Creation Project’ site planned in Sucheol-ri, Punggi-eup, funded by the Local Extinction Response Fund. They inspected the site and exchanged opinions on active measures for the project to attract residents by remodeling vacant houses into unique spaces and operating programs utilizing the experience space to offer to outsiders.
In addition, despite being a tourist destination with a large number of annual visitors, they visited the area around the Sambga Ticket Office in Sobaeksan National Park, where convenience facilities are lacking. They checked the ‘Samgari Fox Rest Area’ project site aimed at securing tourist convenience facilities and improving residential conditions through resident-centered income increase, as well as the ‘Jangsu Fermentation Experience Village,’ currently under private consignment and scheduled to open in November, to inspect the opening preparations.
