LS Electric Unveils Marine and Ship Automation Strategic Solutions
Participation in the 'International Shipbuilding & Marine Industry Exhibition' at BEXCO from 24th to 27th
LS ELECTRIC, the No.1 industrial automation company in Korea, has unveiled customized automation solutions for ships and is targeting the shipbuilding and marine market.
LS ELECTRIC announced on the 20th that it will participate in the International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition (KORMARINE 2023) held at BEXCO in Busan from the 24th to the 27th.
In a 24㎡ (8 booths) exhibition space, they will set up a Product zone and a Solution zone. They will introduce automation products and services covering devices, systems, and applications.
LS ELECTRIC will prominently display core automation products and solutions for ships, including ship-certified HMI (Human Machine Interface), PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and AC drives (inverters), which have obtained certification from nine major classification societies. Classification certification is granted after meeting the regulations required by classification societies of each country in fields such as ships and offshore structures. Receiving the classification certification of the relevant country is a prerequisite to qualify for supplying equipment to ordered ships.

PLC solutions such as XGR and XGK/I provide web server remote access, build networks based on RAPIEnet, the only domestic international standard industrial communication network, and offer redundancy functions. These products are essential for stable ship operation. For AC drives, they unveiled the 'H100', a product dedicated to HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning). A full lineup from 0.75 to 500kW is available.
They will showcase their capability to supply ship-customized solutions. Exhibits include BWMS (Ballast Water Management System), Scrubber (sulfur oxide (SOx) reduction device), Boiler (steam supply equipment onboard ships), ECR, and FAC (engine room and machinery space air conditioning equipment).
