Gumi City Opens Ramen Festival Characters 'Boogie & Nudi' for Free
Implementation of Copyright Property Rights Opening ... Available for Use by Small and Medium Enterprises and Small Business Owners
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk is promoting the opening of copyright property rights (free use) for the festival characters ‘Bugi and Nudi’ to promote the Ramen Festival and revitalize the local economy.
‘Bugi’ and ‘Nudi’ are the characters of the ‘Gumi Ramen Festival,’ which is celebrating its second year this year. They were created in June and have played a significant role in promoting the festival.
‘Bugi’ is the fire kingdom’s prince turtle, carrying a firebird and magical soup on his head, and has a pot-shaped shell. ‘Nudi’ is the princess of the noodle kingdom in the ramen realm, with ears shaped like chewy noodles, and possesses the secret noodle-making recipe passed down through generations.
Only small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners headquartered in Gumi can use these characters for free. By submitting an application form and supporting documents in person to the responsible department, the approval for use will be decided promptly through a swift procedure.
This project is being promoted to publicize the festival and revitalize the local economy. The character images and brand value will be preserved, and as long as social norms are not violated, the characters can be utilized to the fullest extent possible.
