Gyeongbuk Office of Education Introduces 'Professional Position System' for Employees Working Over 3 Years in One Department
Appointment of 'Specialists' from January Next Year for Student Placement, Property, and Planning, etc.
Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced on the 18th that it plans to select and appoint specialists following the implementation of the professional position system for general service officials starting next year.
The professional position system is a system that selects and appoints public officials with career experience and qualifications to positions that require long-term service in the same position or specialized field, and where a high level of specialized knowledge and information is required to perform duties.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education decided to designate professional positions through internal recruitment and deliberation by the personnel committee for tasks such as educational environment evaluation, student placement, property management, and administrative training planning.
In particular, the Pohang, Gumi, and Gyeongsan Education Support Offices, where apartment move-ins and development plans are frequent, designated the "student placement" task to strengthen the expertise of the education support office in accommodating students.
Specialists selected for professional positions will have transfer restrictions within three years, and various incentives such as professional position allowances, additional points for work performance, and participation in training for skill development will be provided.
