The Taste and Charm of Yeongdeok-gun, 'Lighthouse Concert and Samchi Eating Day' Successfully Concluded
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk successfully concluded the East Coast Five-Line Staff Lighthouse Concert held at Haebaranggongwon Park in Ganggu-myeon on the 14th, following last year's events in Pohang and Uljin, and this year's in Gyeongju and Ulleung.

View original imageThis event, part of the East Sea Marine Leisure Tourism Joint Marketing Project, was organized by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Cultural Tourism Corporation. Various musical genres colored the deep autumn sea, featuring ballad singer Kassy, the vocal Gayageum and acoustic guitar group Noreu Gayageum Yagam, the biwa performance group Biwa Sunset, and the opera Fedora soloist.
Along with the concert, the Samchi Meokneun Day (Mackerel Pike Eating Day) event, prepared by Yeongdeok-gun and the Ganggu and Yeongdeok Northern Fisheries Cooperatives, attracted over 1,200 tourists. All 148 boxes, each containing eight medium-sized mackerel pike, were sold out, showing a strong response.
This Samchi Meokneun Day event was held to promote the safety and excellence of local seafood. Yeongdeok-gun prepared high-quality mackerel pike in advance and confirmed their safety through radiation testing before providing them to buyers.
