Boseong Dahyang Grand Festival Calls for Idea Submissions

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold the "2024 47th Boseong Dahyang Festival Idea Contest" from the 16th of last month until November 10th.

Anyone who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea can apply, and those interested can download the application form from the crowdsourcing website and submit it by November 10th.

The contest categories are festival program ideas and two festival slogans.

The ideas can be on any topic related to the Boseong Dahyang Festival and Boseong tea culture, including unique core programs, programs that more than 100 unspecified tourists can participate in, or other differentiated programs that can contribute to improving festival satisfaction.

The slogans should focus on the originality, applicability, suitability, popularity, and vision of the Boseong Dahyang Festival.

Eight idea entries will be selected as winners, with prize money ranging from 100,000 KRW to a maximum of 700,000 KRW. The winning entries will be utilized in the 2024 47th Boseong Dahyang Festival.

Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, said, "Through this contest reflecting the diverse ideas of the entire nation and Boseong residents, we will foster the festival into a resident-participation type festival where residents can easily share their thoughts." He added, "We ask for your great interest and participation."

Meanwhile, the Boseong Dahyang Festival, designated as a cultural tourism festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is held every early May at the Korean Tea Culture Park area.
