Superintendent Lim Tae-hee Visits the National Skills Competition: "Please Fully Demonstrate Your Efforts"
Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee visited the venue of the "National Skills Competition" held in Chungcheongnam-do on the 16th to encourage the participants.

Superintendent Lim attended the National Skills Competition, held across Chungcheongnam-do until the 20th, and said, "The athletes have put in a lot of effort. They are expected to have skills at the highest level in the country," adding, "I hope they fully demonstrate the efforts they have made."
He also stated, "The National Skills Competition is an opportunity for the education office responsible for education to consider whether education is being provided at the level demanded by companies," and added, "We need to think about how to share companies' educational capabilities and connect them with students."
He continued, "I will personally visit companies and serve as a link with vocational high schools," promising, "I will actively and practically ensure progress is made."
He urged, "Let us cooperate with companies so that the skills, advanced technologies, and various foundational education required by companies are provided in schools, and work together to bring about changes in the curriculum."
About 10,000 people, including approximately 2,900 athletes and judges selected nationwide, as well as instructors, parents, and citizens, are participating in this competition.
Gyeonggi Province is participating with a representative team of 117 students and 32 general participants in 43 occupations, including mold making, mechanical design/CAD, automobile maintenance, mobile robotics, polymechanics, and cooking.

Winners of the National Skills Competition are granted exemptions from the practical test of the industrial engineer certification in their respective occupations (except for some occupations). The top two scorers (teams) qualify to participate in the national team selection evaluation and earn the right to compete in the 48th International Skills Olympics to be held in China in 2026.
