Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Jo Ik-moon) is focusing on enhancing the ability to respond to unexpected crisis situations to ensure passenger safety.
On the 16th, Gwangju Transportation Corporation announced that it recently invited an instructor from the National Police Agency to conduct 'On-site Staff Self-Protection (Self-Defense) Safety Training.'
Instructor Il-jin Lee from Gwangju Police Agency was invited as the lecturer and delivered practical defense techniques through hands-on practice, including basic principles of self-defense, how to use self-defense tools, maintaining distance from an opponent in crisis situations, and escape methods.
The corporation provides and manages safety equipment such as wearable camcorders, three-section batons, electronic whistles, and self-defense sprays at each station site to ensure the safety of on-site staff and passengers.
Furthermore, the corporation plans to strengthen safety by continuing regular self-protection safety training and conducting security patrols within stations in cooperation with the police.
