Jeongeup-si to Host 'Soltimosi Festival' on 21st-22nd
Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 16th that it will hold the 7th Solti Mosi Festival in the Solti (Songjuk) village area from the 21st to the 22nd.
This festival, aimed at preserving disappearing traditional culture and restoring the village community, will begin with performances by Solti village residents and feature programs that residents and tourists can enjoy together, such as a large-scale Mosi Bibimbap experience and a large-scale Mosi Garaetteok experience.
Various experiential programs linked to the village's history, culture, and resources have also been prepared, including walking the Solti Forest trail while listening to storytelling explanations by residents, Solti Forest meditation experiences, and Mosi foot bath experiences.
The Solti dining experience using various wild mountain vegetables growing naturally in the village and various crafting experiences using natural materials such as pine cones and maple leaves allow children to directly feel and experience nature.
Additionally, there are plenty of attractions throughout the village, including acoustic guitar, band, and busking performances, as well as exhibitions of Solti artworks.
Nodongsuk, the representative of Solti Village, said, "This festival is a meaningful event prepared and led by residents to preserve the village's unique history, culture, and assets and to revitalize the community," adding, "We hope many people visit the festival site and have a joyful time."
