Jeju Air Strives to Revitalize Regional Airports... International Routes Increase
Expansion of Jeju-Hong Kong Route and Others
Jeju Air announced on the 16th that it will expand international flights departing from regional airports such as Jeju, Busan, and Muan during this year's winter flight period.
First, starting from the 29th of this month, a new Jeju-Hong Kong route will be launched with a schedule of four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). The Jeju-Macau route, currently operating twice a week, will be expanded to three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). Additionally, a new Busan-Philippines Bohol route will begin operating seven times a week. This is the second new route departing from Busan since the Busan-Ulaanbaatar route launched in July and is exclusively operated by Jeju Air.
International flights departing from Muan International Airport will also be expanded. Starting from the 1st of next month, the Muan-Taipei route will begin, followed by Osaka, Sapporo, Bangkok, and Vientiane, totaling five routes.
From the 29th of this month, the Incheon-Phu Quoc route will resume with a seven times a week schedule, and from the 10th of next month, the Incheon-Macau route will also resume with seven weekly flights. The frequency of flights to smaller Japanese cities will be increased to daily operations: Incheon-Matsuyama (five times a week), Shizuoka (three times a week), and Hiroshima (three times a week) will all be increased to seven times a week.
The company operates 19 out of 58 international routes from regional airports excluding Incheon and Gimpo. During the winter period, international routes from regional airports include 12 routes from Busan Gimhae International Airport to Tokyo (Narita), Osaka, Fukuoka, Guam, Taipei, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Bohol, Singapore, and Da Nang. Muan International Airport operates five routes to Osaka, Sapporo, Taipei, Bangkok, and Vientiane. Jeju International Airport operates two routes to Macau and Hong Kong.
