Gwangju Gwangsan-gu, 55 Resident Participation Budget Projects Finally Selected
Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, has selected a total of 55 resident participation budget projects worth 1.2 billion KRW for the next year.
According to the district on the 13th, the resident participation budget projects were finally selected through deliberations by the related operating committee and coordination council.
The projects selected through resident proposal contests (general, district administration, and youth participation types) amount to 18 projects worth 350 million KRW, while the projects chosen through the Dong Residents' General Assembly (local discussion meetings) (autonomous planning type) total 37 projects worth approximately 850 million KRW.
The main projects include ▲ installation of household sewage covers along the access road to Sinpyeong Village in Bonryang-dong ▲ investigation and publication of a data book on Gwangsan-gu's local cultural heritage ▲ youth life guide ▲ "Following the Water, Following the Road" (creating safe village roads in Imgok-dong), among others.
