Busan Office of Education, Promoting Gender Equality and Illegal Filming Prevention Culture
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is taking proactive steps to raise awareness of gender equality in daily life and create a safe society free from illegal filming.
On the 13th, the Busan Office of Education announced that it will operate various 'Gender Equality and Illegal Filming Prevention' events targeting students, parents, and citizens until the end of the year.
First, from the 14th to December 13th, the Busan Office of Education will promote the campaign at bus stops and subway stations. Under the theme of 'Preventing Illegal Filming and Creating a Gender-Equal Society,' posters will be displayed at four city bus stops in the Busan area and on the screen doors of Seomyeon subway lines 1 and 2.
These posters were created in collaboration with a webtoon artist and convey messages such as mutual respect for boundaries and consent, and equal opportunities and rights regardless of gender, using friendly images.
Campaign activities involving the educational community and citizens will also be carried out. Gender equality and illegal filming prevention posters will be distributed to all elementary, middle, and high schools in the Busan area. Using these posters, a social media and poster photo certification event will be held from the 14th to November 13th.
Additionally, on-site education will be supported through the 'Illegal Filming Prevention ChulseuQeuzi Event Visiting Schools.'
Gwak Jeong-rok, Director of Character, Physical Education, and School Meals at the Busan Office of Education, said, “This event will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness of gender equality and prevent illegal filming not only among the educational community but also among all Busan citizens. The Office of Education will work to create a society safe from illegal filming and a culture of mutual respect without gender inequality.”
