Yongin Yongcheon Elementary Selected for 'School Swimming Pool Expansion Project'
Utilized as Student Survival Swimming and Community Sports Space
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 13th that Yongcheon Elementary School in Idong-eup, Cheoin-gu, has been selected for the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education's '2023 School Swimming Pool Expansion Project.'

This project involves installing swimming pools in schools to provide survival swimming education for students and support sports activities for citizens.
The budget required for construction will be supported by the Provincial Office of Education, while Yongin City will be responsible for operation.
With this project selection, Yongcheon Elementary School will have a swimming pool with five lanes, each 25 meters long, and a children's pool. During class hours, survival swimming education will be conducted, and outside of class hours, the pool will be open to local residents.

A city official stated, "With the construction of this swimming pool, we will be able to provide high-quality sports facilities to students and local residents in the Cheoin-gu area," adding, "We will continue to strive to expand living infrastructure that supports the healthy and happy lives of our citizens."
