Dongseo University and Pukyong National University Hold First Digital Finance Talent Development Forum
The "1st Digital Finance Talent Development Forum," organized by the Joint Department Establishment Preparation Committee of Pukyong National University and Dongseo University and the Korea Information Systems Society, will be held on the 12th at 1:30 PM in the Emerald Room on the 41st floor of the Busan Lotte Hotel.
This forum, under the theme "Talent Development Strategy Based on Industry-Academia-Government Cooperation," is being conducted to revitalize Busan's strategic industry, the digital finance sector, and to secure a stable foundation.
The forum will be attended by Pukyong National University President Jang Young-su, Dongseo University President Jang Je-guk, Busan City Deputy Mayor Ahn Byung-yoon, Korea Exchange Chairman Son Byung-doo, BNK Financial Group Executive Director Kim Jin-han, representatives from SK Broadband, Ssangyong Information & Communications, Woori IT, Secuzen, Baron System, and professors from the two universities.
The event will begin at 1:30 PM with an opening address by Pukyong National University President Jang Young-su, followed by congratulatory speeches, a progress report on the establishment of the Dongseo University-Pukyong National University Department of Digital Finance, and a presentation titled "The Talent Ideal Pursued by Universities" by Kwak Joon-sik, Dean of Dongseo University Q College.
From 2:30 PM, the forum will continue with a presentation by Jo Ho-geun, Executive Director of SK Broadband's Financial Business Division, on "The Talent Ideal of Companies Related to Digital Finance," followed by a forum on "Digital Finance Security Trends" by Jung Sang-gon, Director of the Security Technology Research Institute at Secuzen.
This year, Dongseo University and Pukyong National University established the Department of Digital Finance, a joint department, as the first domestic universities to cultivate talent in the advanced technology field of digital finance. They have received approval from the Ministry of Education and are currently selecting students through rolling admissions.
